The Global Partnership against the Spread of Weapons and Materials of Mass Destruction was set up to support cooperation projects to promote non-proliferation, disarmament and the fight against terrorism in the nuclear, chemical, and biological fields. CEA, on behalf of France, is participating in this Partnership by providing Russia with its skills and experience in the nuclear energy sector. Ukraine is also benefiting from this 10-year partnership established in 2002.
